For my eighth week of training, I focused on running for as long as I could before walking, with the idea of increasing my stamina in preparation for my final week. I started the week with the routine from the week before: 55 seconds running, 3 minutes walking. However, since I found my energy was replenished faster, I found it was the best time to try increasing my stamina. I started by just decreasing my walking time, but after a day of that, I felt I was ready for more. I started by running until I started to feel tired, before pausing and walking. This seemed to work well, and I didn’t want to go too hard and mess up my progress so late in my progress so I continued with this routine for the rest of the week.
The weather was great this week and it really helped to encourage me to go out on these runs when I wasn’t feeling my best. Overall, it was a very successful week, and I am really noticing my progress!
